A survey conducted by Fetch Club Shop found that 67% of dog owners are preparing a special Christmas dinner for their pets to ensure they’re not left out of the festive fun.
The survey involved 2,000 UK pet owners, confirming a delightful trend: pets are becoming a central part of family Christmas celebrations.
The survey also found that 16% of cat owners and 3% of small animal owners are also planning festive meals.
Popular pet-friendly Christmas dishes include turkey (65%), roast potatoes, and homemade pigs in blankets – all tailored to be safe for pets.
Carolione Stronkhorst, a co-founder of Fetch Club Shop, said: “Whilst it is lovely to see our beloved pets getting involved in the big day, there are some risks that well-meaning dog owners should be aware of.”
