Pets at Home’s training team has been awarded with a Princess Royal Training Award. The award was presented to the team by the Princess Royal, Princess Anne, at St James’ Palace.
Now in its third year, the Princess Royal Training Award honours employers in the UK who have created outstanding training and skills development programmes.
Pets at Home’s training team was recognised for its standard of excellence and for the impact their SQP course has had on the business.
Maria Wolens, senior expertise trainer at Pets at Home, said: “We’re extremely grateful to have been chosen as the winners for this prestigious award and even more honoured that Princess Anne presented it to us.
“Everyone on the training team works extremely hard to ensure that our colleagues have access to the most credible and reliable resources to provide our customers with the best service possible. Congratulations to everyone on the team whose efforts contributed to winning this fantastic award.”
Chris Jones, chief executive of the City & Guilds Group, said: “Congratulations to all 48 organisations who have achieved the Princess Royal Training Awards standard of excellence this year.
“Once again, it is evidence of the very real benefits that investing in staff development can bring to employers, large and small, private, public and not for profit.
“At a time of increasing economic uncertainty and reduced investment into workforce development it is great to see critical business issues being addressed through impactful learning and development.”
