Pet Footprint, the UK importer of Josera and Green PetFood from Germany, said two days spent at the inaugural Dogstival festival in the New Forest was the perfect place to meet consumers.
Simon Freear, director of Pet Footprint, said “The first Dogstival was a perfect place to talk to consumers who are genuinely interested in the best food choices for their dogs. We had strong interest in sustainability, as consumers become more aware of their pets’ environmental footprint. That was great for us as our low daily feed rations and healthy digestion formulas tick all the sustainability boxes.”
Green Petfood and Josera, both leading brands of German dog, cat and horse foods are well known across mainland Europe for quality foods with market-leading environmental credentials that use sustainable human-grade quality ingredients.
Green Petfood’s InsectDog recipes have been available for almost five years and use sustainable insect protein.
Mr Freear added: “Not only does insect protein provide a rich source of valuable fatty acids and have hypoallergenic properties for dogs due to their lack of exposure to it, but importantly also due to its significantly lower carbon footprint per kg of production.”
