Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health has launched the Ambassador Club, which is aimed at SQPs who see the role as more than just a job – those who are really passionate about what they do.
Victoria Hudson, senior brand manager at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health, said: “We’ll launch a campaign to recruit R-SQPs who want to come on board and as a company we’ll be providing expert training, as well as training from external partners, that cover all aspects of the role.
“We will be working with partners to deliver training in mental health and wellbeing, as well as other areas, such as merchandising and retailing, encompassing all aspects of their roles, as well as focusing on supporting the correct prescribing of anthelmintics.”
The Ambassador Club, which will operate through a closed Facebook group, will be open to a maximum of 100 R-SQPs.
Ms Hudson added: “We really want to have a bit more of a personal connection with the SQPs. I think they need recognition within their industry, and OvertheCounter does a great job with the National SQP Awards, but this – on a smaller scale – is about getting to know these guys and being able to support them on a different level.”
