Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health has relaunched equine wormer Eqvalan Duo, following a break in supply.
Warren Ball, Eqvalan’s brand manager, said the return of Eqvalan Duo will provide retailers with a real boost in the campaign to promote effective and responsible worming programmes.
“Eqvalan Duo is back in stock and will be supported by a dedicated equine team from the global leaders in equine health, who are equipped with a toolkit of educational and marketing support materials for our retailers, along with an online CPD portal,” Mr Ball said.
“We are committed to supporting our customers so that together we can be at the forefront of responsible worming. The Boehringer Ingelheim Resource Hub will provide marketing assets via an online portal exclusively for our customers, aiming to support and lead the SQP channel during the pandemic and beyond.”
Mr Ball said the online platform will support retailers to promote responsible worming to customers.
He added: “Delivering the latest guidance created and developed by equine veterinary surgeons to educate and promote responsible worming, the AMTRA accredited CPD training modules will be available via a new online learning platform.”
The relaunch will also include a high profile consumer media and digital campaign to highlight the importance of using Faecal Egg Counts (FECs) together with an appropriate wormer choice.
“The range of products will ensure that moxidectin is reserved for the treatment of encysted stages of small redworm at the relevant times of year,” Mr Ball said.
