The Pet Food Manufacturers’ Association (PFMA) has welcomed Pets at Home as its founding Associate Member.

The PFMA recently launched the Associate Member category for those who work closely with the pet food industry.

Michael Bellingham, PFMA chief executive, said: “We have worked with Pets at Home for a number of years in the animal welfare forums. Having them now onboard as an Associate Member presents really exciting opportunities particularly with regards to education for owners on pet nutrition.”

A spokesperson for Pets at Home said: “This is an exciting opportunity for Pets at Home and we are delighted to be on board as an associate member.

“We look forward to the benefits that membership will bring, including closer collaboration with the PFMA, and manufacturers which will enable us to continue to deliver the very best products and services to our customers and of course their pets.”
