NOAH’s annual review for 2023 and outlook for 2024 takes a look at the animal health sector over the past year and the opportunities and challenges NOAH has worked on.
It also looks at what is coming up in 2024 that will affect our sector and how NOAH will be working to support its members.
A major focus was preparing NOAH’s response to the VMD (Veterinary Medicines Directorate)’s consultation on the new GB Veterinary Medicines Regulations.
With the Government’s response to the consultation issued just as NOAH’s annual review was published, it sets out how in 2024 it is vital for the new Regulation to progress through Parliament towards implementation.
NOAH’s review spotlighted NOAH initiatives in relation to One Health, sustainability and responsible veterinary medicine use. This included the publication of a report on the contribution animal health makes to One Health and sustainability, and the launch of NOAH’s Paws to Protect campaign, which raises awareness of the importance of reading and following the information provided on veterinary product labels and packaging.
NOAH itself achieved an Investors in the Environment (IiE) Bronze award, and will work towards its Silver in 2024.
2023 saw the development of a new logo for the NOAH Certificate of Animal Health (NCAH) and awareness animation, as we set out to raise awareness of how qualified representatives can act as an information source and support for prescribers and retailers of veterinary medicines.
