Elanco’s Access 2 Knowledge (A2K) spring webinar is taking place on Wednesday, April 17, to provide the latest updates and guidance on how to manage two key health challenges – worm burdens and fly strike.
The session will kick off with Elanco’s Matt Colston and independent consultant and SCOPS technical consultant Lesley Stubbings providing an update on ways to manage anthelmintic resistance in sheep.
Two farmers – Kerry Sykes and Ernie Richards – will speak about their individual worming protocols and experiences of dosing, weighing and using faecal egg counts (FECs) to manage worm burdens.
This will be followed by a vet’s perspective on how to maximise lamb health, welfare and profitability.
The second half of the session will focus on managing blowfly risk, the benefits of early application and the costs associated with strike. In addition, there will be a reminder of how to apply CLiK correctly to get the benefits of the Fleecebind technology and full fleece protection.
