Elanco has launched Advantage Chewable, its new flea and tick treatment.
The NFA-VPS product is available in five sizes, based on the dog’s weight, and Elanco said the meaty flavour of Advantage Chewable will ensure that owners are making sure their dogs stay flea and tick-free.
Donna Tomlinson, Elanco’s shopper marketing manager, said Advantage Chewable for dogs starts working within four hours and keeps working for at least 30 days.
“For best results, give your dog one chewable tablet every month with food or within 30 minutes of eating,” Ms Tomlinson said.
“Fleas already on the dog are killed within six hours; new fleas are killed within four hours throughout the month; and Advantage Chewable kills fleas before they can lay eggs.
“Ticks already on the dog are killed within eight hours; new ticks are killed within 48 hours throughout the month.”
Advantage Chewable contains the active ingredient lotilaner.
“It works by over-stimulating the nerve cells of the targeted parasite, so they can no longer move, causing rapid death in fleas and ticks,” Ms Tomlinson said.
