Regulatory body AMTRA, which manages the registration of around 7,000 SQPs, said that renewal fees are due by tomorrow (November 30).
Fees for the 2023 period have increased slightly from previous years: for farm-animal SQPs (those with the letters R, G, K or L in their prefix), the renewal fee for 2023 will be £57.
For all others (those with the letters, C, E, J or A in their prefix), the renewal fee is £52.
Stephen Dawson, AMTRA secretary general, said renewal fees are due by the end of November, and reminded SQPs that a late payment fee of £67 is charged across the board for
all SQP categories, for those who renew after November 30.
If payment is still not received by December 31, 2022, a reinstatement fee of £77 is payable, in order to return AMTRA Register.
For the first time, AMTRA is offering the opportunity to pay by direct debit, which it said will remove the burden of remembering to pay each autumn, and may, in some cases, avoid reinstatement fees, guaranteeing the discounts available for prompt payment.
Mr Dawson said a discount of £1 is available this month for those paying by the due date via the AMTRA website.
“This applies to individuals, as well as smaller businesses paying for multiple SQPs, and larger businesses managing SQPs’ renewals on their behalf,” Mr Dawson said.
