Beaphar has added to its NFA-VPS offering with two new flea and tick products, Beaphar Canishield and Beaphar FIPROtec Spray.
Beaphar Canishield is a slow release Deltamethrin collar for dogs that provides long-term protection against parasites, including ticks for six months, fleas for 16 weeks and sandflies for 5.5 months.
The company said that with ticks becoming a more common parasite for UK dog-owners to deal with, as well as carrying bacteria and diseases such as Lyme disease, this is an “essential and ideal product” to stock. It is available in two sizes, small/medium dog and large dog.
Beaphar FIPROtec Spray, meanwhile, kills fleas, ticks and biting lice on cats and dogs, and can be used on kittens and puppies from two days old. One bottle of Beaphar FIPROtec Spray contains enough product to treat a whole litter, making it the ideal product for breeders.
Both Beaphar Canishield and Beaphar FIPROtec Spray hold the legal category NFA-VPS, so retailers need a SQP to stock and sell these new products.
Beaphar said SQPs can also earn CPD points online at the Beaphar Training Zone. For Beaphar customers with multiple staff members interested in receiving training, a session can be arranged with Beaphar’s technical support executive through your local sales executive, the company said.
