Tractive, a leader in pet tracking technology, has appointed adventurer Ben Fogle as a brand ambassador.
He will star in a series of advertisements for television and other channels, with the first ad to air this week.
Best known for taking audiences to the world’s most remote locations, Ben’s work frequently highlights the deep bond between humans and animals. At home in the UK, he also serves as a patron for Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.
As a lifelong dog lover and owner of several Labradors, Mr Fogle said he understands the importance of keeping an extra eye on your dog.
He said: “In Britain, a lot of people, especially in the countryside, will walk dogs off the lead. For me to have the ability to keep an eye on how far the dogs go has been a game changer.”
In the UK alone, over 25,000 cats and dogs have been reported missing since 2023, according to missing pet database Petlog.
With Tractive’s GPS tracker and app, owners can follow their pets in real-time. They can also set up Virtual Fences to receive instant alerts if their dog strays too far.
Mr Fogle said: “I think the best feature is when you lose eye contact with the dog, to be able to take a quick glimpse at your phone and work out exactly where your dogs are when you lose sight of them.”
Tractive chief executive Michael Hurnaus said: “We’re really excited to welcome Ben Fogle as a Tractive brand ambassador. His passion for animal welfare and adventure makes him the perfect fit for Tractive.
“Through this collaboration, we want to inspire pet parents in the UK to keep their furry friends safe and healthy on every step of their journey together.”
