The British Equestrian Trade Association’s (BETA) Feed Fact Fortnight spring edition is back on March 29 and is set to deliver information, live content and prizes around the theme of preparing for competition.
Each year, BETA hosts two Feed Fact Fortnights to help support members in sharing key messages to promote awareness and welfare, at the same time as providing horse owners with verified, factually accurate information from experts, and lots of opportunities to ask questions and win prizes too.
This spring, the campaign has a competition focus and will be covering feeding for workload, staying safe and legal with NOPS (Naturally Occurring Prohibited Substances), competing in hot weather, feeding competition horses including picky feeders, electrolytes, forage requirements, how to support the welfare of competition horses, the implications of transport and travel, and so much more.
“We really enjoy Feed Fact Fortnight, and we know that our members do too,” said Claire Williams from BETA.
“We know how hard horse owners work to help keep their horses happy and healthy, but we also appreciate how overwhelming it can be to try and find the information you need to do this.
“The amount of misinformation that’s online is concerning for everyone, but by running these initiatives each year, people can access free, accurate information from some of the best experts and companies all over the world.”
Feed Fact Fortnight’s content will be shared on BETA’s Facebook Page (facebook.com/betaequestrian) and Instagram (Instagram.com/beta_equestrian) from March 29 and will run until April 13.
