Bimeda has launched a campaign to drive awareness of the importance of screening for trace element imbalances.
Deficiencies and over-supplementation can both lead to productivity issues and monitoring should form part of flock and herd health plans at critical management points.
To support this, Bimeda is running a competition, in which a UK farmer can win a trace element nutrition audit worth up to £2,000. This will be carried out by expert mineral consultant Peter Bone in conjunction with the farmer’s local vet and will include diagnostic testing.
Farmers can enter our competition from March 1 on the Bimeda bolus website: https://www.cosecureboluses.com/2022competition, with entries closing on May 1.
Terms and conditions apply – see website for details.
The website also features case studies from farmers who have encountered trace element issues on their farms, and the steps they have taken with their vets to address them.
SQPs can visit https://bimeda-learning.co.uk/, Bimeda’s interactive online CPD site, to learn more about the impact of trace element imbalances and how to address them.
