Last night’s OvertheCounter SQP Conference in Worcester was well supported, with SQPs travelling from across the Midlands and Wales to hear four interesting presentations across a range of subjects.
The event, which is run in association with AHDA and AMTRA, was sponsored by Baileys Horse Feeds, Bimeda and MSD Animal Health.
Liz Bulbrook, director of nutrition at Baileys Horse Feeds, spoke on the topical subject of The Overweight Equine; Sean Riches, senior product manager at MSD Animal Health, present the company’s five-point plan for lameness.
After dinner, Jonathon Doyle, national accounts manager at Chanelle Animal Health, looked at which active ingredients kill which parasite; and Rachel Mallet, professional services veterinarian at Bimeda, presented on the subject of dipping, scab and the role of SQPs in promoting best practice to the farmer.
Simon King, OvertheCounter’s editor, said: “OvertheCounter is committed to ensuring that SQPs hear excellent presentations across a range of subjects and it was great to meet SQPs at last night’s event at the Sixways Stadium in Worcester.”
