Chanelle Animal Health said it is bringing another tool in the fight against parasites to the farmer with the launch of Moxodex 1 mg/ml. Containing moxidectin, the company said that Moxodex can be used to treat and prevent against parasites in ewes and lambs.
Tim Rees, commercial manager at Chanelle Animal Health, said Moxodex is a 0.1% moxidectin, broad-spectrum anthelminthic.
He added: “It belongs to the macrocyclic lactone (clear) class of wormers, as does ivermectin. It is orally administered. Unlike benzimidazole (white) and levamisole (yellow) products, which have no residual effect, moxidectin has persistent activity which prevents reinfection from important parasites for five weeks.
“We are excited to add Moxodex to our product range and are pleased to be able to offer our loyal customer base in the UK another quality product. Moxodex will be available in advance of the coming season.”
SQPs can find out more about Moxodex on the Chanelle stand at this week’s AHDA Conference in Birmingham.
