British food human and pet food producer Cranswick has formed a new partnership with Pets at Home.
Through the partnership deal, Cranswick will supply the retailer with dry dog foods under its Wainwrights and Step Up brands.
Cranswick will supply Pets at Home with its dog kibble formulas from its Lodge Farm site in Lincolnshire, which was formerly owned by Grove Pet Foods. Cranswick acquired Grove Pet Foods at the beginning of 2022.
The manufacturer will begin supplying Pets at Home with its products in the second half of the financial year following production and stock building over the summer.
In a statement, Cranswick said: “The partnership will make Pets at Home Cranswick’s lead strategic customer.
“For Cranswick, the agreement represents a significant growth opportunity for the company and aligns with its ambition to advance its pet food business, according to the company.”
