Royal Canin is inviting SQPs and retailers to a free half-day virtual event that it said will provide new perspectives to help them navigate the challenge of pet obesity.

The Royal Canin Weight Management Virtual Congress will take place on Wednesday, February 24, and will include sessions on:

• Obesity: What’s the big deal?; and
• Winning with science: how science health nutrition can help support the health and wellbeing of our pets and drive category growth

Lindsay Calcraft, Royal Canin’s weight management specialist, said: “We know that obesity reduces pets’ life spans and puts them at risk of developing a number of health concerns.

“We’ve therefore organised this congress to share the latest thinking about pet obesity so retailers can provide advice and support to customers with overweight cats and dogs.”
