The Sustainable Control of Parasites in Sheep (SCOPS) Group is delighted to announce the first episode of the second series of its popular podcast is now live – available from the SCOPS website or wherever you get your podcasts.
Kevin Harrison, Gloucestershire sheep farmer and SCOPS chair, said: “Following the overwhelmingly positive reception to series one of the SCOPS podcast, it made absolute sense for us to commission series two. We’ve attracted more fantastic co-hosts and guests for this second run, which will provide four episodes over the coming weeks.
“The podcast is suitable for sheep farmers, vets and advisers, so please subscribe and spread the word if you enjoy the content. All episodes from series one are still available online, as well as the new episodes being added.”
Episodes in series two of the podcast cover environmentally sustainable use of products that control sheep parasites, effective quarantining of sheep, administering a mid/late season break dose, and tackling resistance to multiple groups of anthelmintic.
These join the existing episodes on the SCOPS principles, carrying out a worming treatment check, sheep scab, and liver fluke. Find them all at www.scops.org.uk/podcasts or subscribe via Spotify, Apple Podcasts or Google Podcasts.
