Supreme Petfoods has announced that the free virtual training it provides about the care of small pets is now accredited by SQP regulator Vetpol.
In total there are 30 hours of free continuing professional development (CPD) that can be used by SQPs or veterinary professionals as part of their mandatory requirement.
Some of Supreme’s webinars are designed to specifically meet the needs of veterinary professionals and those topics include anaesthesia, drug dosages for small pets and treatment of common clinical conditions.
For SQPs and those in the pet trade looking to build expertise, there are a number of nutritional topics that will help them give pet owners great advice to help them maintain the health of their pets.
Claire Hamblion, Supreme’s marketing manager, said the accreditation reflects the quality of the materials available.
“It’s long been our focus to produce high quality CPD, she said. “The specialists delivering this training include Molly Varga, Jo Hinde, Charly Pignon, Jo Hedley, Anna Meredith and Livia Benato – all names that veterinary professionals will recognise for their passion for improving veterinary care for small pets.
“Now with Vetpol’s accreditation, Companion Animal SQPs can also ensure that they benefit from CPD that’s specific to small pets.”
